Hardworking Roma
A downloadable game for Windows
A childhood friend invites Roma to the student council room.
He expected a warm welcome, sappy reminiscences, a firm handshake, hugs — something like that.
What he gets instead is a request to help her win the election and a string of lewd hints about “rewards.”
Who the hell does she think I am?
Where is "I have so much to tell you"?
Where is "you've grown so much since then"?
There was silence...
Some kind of oppressive melancholy constrains your movements and thoughts.
Trying to maintain the appearance of calm, you say:
— I will help.
But it’s hard to stop there. A deep bitterness covers you...
— You know, I thought we were friends.
After these words, you turn around and leave.
That’s right. It's better to leave now. Cool off.
To attract students to the elections, Roma decides to start with the music room...
Saying “Disco Elysium meets anime” would be way too bold.
But that's exactly how I would describe the game.
Your goal is to help Kiko gather political momentum in the school’s student council elections.
To do this, you’ll explore the school, talk to its inhabitants, and fulfill their requests.
The storytelling is inspired by Disco Elysium, the presentation by Tsukihime2000, and the gameplay by Helltaker.
Whatever that means...
Visually, the game blends those same influences with Triplexholic, FLCL, Zetsubou Sensei, and works by Fuyukawa Motoi.
